If you buy it. We won’t come.

An interesting story in the Times today about another person wanting to buy the team.  We already had FOX so no thanks. The next person who has their sites set on the team is developer Alan Caseden.

Sorry but you already showed your hand. “In 2003, Casden proposed buying the Dodgers, moving them to a new downtown ballpark and tearing down Dodger Stadium to build housing on the site.

They knock down stadiums all the time,” Casden told The Times then. “Dodger Stadium is not an antique. It’s not Frank Lloyd Wright. It’s a nice place to play baseball, but there are far better.” There is only ONE Dodger stadium and its as sacred to Dodger fans as the Vatican is to the Pope. We like things just the way they are. Though a few upgrades and some urinals would be nice.

Joshua Macciello makes a $5000 donation

Tonight I received an email from Josh and the LA food bank. Josh made a $5000 donation as he promised to the LFP virtual food drive. This should put a lot of fears to rest about his word and credibility. As far as i concerned. He is the real deal. I have invited him out to the softball tournament in February to meet the fans and readers of this site and all the other Dodger blogs. I hope he can find the time to come out. I thank him for his contribution and wish him the best of luck in his pursuit of the team. Below is a copy of the email I received from the food bank. Right click to see the full size image.
