I know it’s been a while since I posted on here, but wanted to thank all of you who participated in the softball tournament and who have been regular visitors to this site. Since coming home from LA. I decided to take a little break from here since the Dodgers season ended the day I returned. Though I will not be updating the site everyday. I will be trying some new ideas during the off season, so feel free to let me know what you think.
In November the LFP will try and set a date for the next softball tournament. Sorry but there will be only one next year and most likely in Feb again. It takes a lot to put it together and there seems to be a lot of scheduling issues during the season. The level of play at the past one by all the teams was very impressive and surpassed the level of the first one. I can only imagine it will be even better at the next one. So keep checking back. I’ll try and do a post or two a week as we look forward to the 2013 season. Thanks again for stopping by.
The award goes out to the player that hustles every game and actually looks like he gives a damn about winning. This years winner was a very tough decision between Mark Ellis and Luis Cruz. The past two years this award was given to Jamey Carroll so it must be something about the number 14 that makes the player push a little harder than the rest. Considering Ellis almost lost his leg and came back to play just shows how much he cares. Congratulations Mark Ellis on a fine season and next time pick up your third base coach when trying to stretch that double into a triple.
